Ted Lasso and Richmond for FIFA 23 officially announced

Update 09/21/2022: EA Sports has officially confirmed that Ted Lasso and fantasy club Richmond will be part of FIFA 23.

You’ll be able to choose Jason Sudeikis’ beloved character Ted Lasso as a usable manager in Career Mode, and AFC RIchmond will be playable in Career Mode, Kick-Offs, Online Friendly Matches, and Online Seasons. EA adds that “a number of AFC Richmond items including kits, tifos, manager items, and other content will also be available to unlock across FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and Pro Clubs as applicable.”

As you’d expect, Richmond will no longer be part of the Premier League at Kickoff, Online Friendly and Online Seasons, and instead will be in the Rest of the World division. Players Roy Kent, Jimmy Tartt, Sam Obisanya and Dani Rojas will all be on the team, and the fictional Nelson Road Stadium will be a part of the game as well.

In a press release, Sudeikis said: “I am truly fortunate, and so grateful, to have had many special moments in my career thus far, and consider this experience to be among the best. As a longtime EA SPORTS FIFA fan, the amalgamation of Ted Lasso and the entire Richmond team The latest version of the game is truly a dream come true for me and the rest of my friends. Our team and crew are working incredibly hard on this show and we are flattered that it resonates with so many people. We look forward to our fans having the opportunity to play, play and even play against their favorite characters in Richmond In Asia “.

“It’s great to be in FIFA. I’m not sure this will help dispel the CGI rumors but it will be worth it,” said Roy Kent representative Brett Goldstein. “I am looking forward to defeating my nephew in a match with me as Roy Kent which is Jimmy Tart. He will be angry.”

Ted Lasso and Richmond may be present in the upcoming FIFA 23 edition.

Actor Jason Sudeikis appeared in a tweet From the TV show’s official account it appears that it was digitally scanned… and hinted that it’s for an upcoming video game.

“Attention, Mario!” you read. “You’re not the only divided man with a mustache who never knows where the tube will take him…”

Most telling, EA Sports FIFA responded to the tweet with a simple eyes emoji.

This isn’t the first time the addition of Ted Lasso to the game has been surprising, with a recent leak suggesting that AFC Richmond would enter the game when it was briefly included in the game. Team List On the official website of the game.

Ted Lasso made his debut in August 2020 and tells the story of the character of the same name – an American football coach who made an unprecedented move to the UK to manage the struggling soccer team, AFC Richmond.

Of course, this addition will be music to the ears of Ted Lasso fans. I mean, that might be the reason why I finally got to join FIFA.

But this begs the question – how will Ted and Richmond fit into the game? More importantly, will the team be available to play online? This seems unlikely. After all, AFC Richmond is completely fictional…but perhaps the players themselves can find a home as part of FIFA Ultimate Team.

For now, we have to wait and see. But just thinking about adding Ted and Richmond to the game opens up a world of possibilities. Football is life, right?

FIFA 23 will launch on September 30, 2022, but it was already available to some players earlier this month due to a pre-load bug. Those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will be able to jump in three days in advance on September 27.
